Pioneer DJ: Hybrid DJing 

In this official Pioneer DJ powered workshop, turntablist/producer DJ Skip demonstrates different approaches to blending cutting edge digital and analog technology, giving participants ideas on how to create innovative hybrid DJ sets - adding interesting dimensions to their live setups and performances. He will demonstrate these applications on the DJM S9 Mixer, DDJ XP-1 add on controller, and PLX 1000 turntables. The session will be followed by a Q&A, and participants will have the chance to also demo the products themselves.

    DJ Skip is a turntablist, DJ and sound designer. As a DJ who thinks on his feet, he fuses his innovative scratching techniques with diverse genres like Trap, Hip-Hop and Dubstep. He was picked as the national winner of the Red Bull Thre3Style contest in 2011 and 2012 and went onto Chicago to represent India. In 2013, Skip represented India at the IDA World DJ Championships and secured 3rd position worldwide in the show category. He is also part of a live electronic act BLaNK that won the MTV Ultimate DJ Championship, which took them to UK’s leading festival Bestival to play for a 55,000 strong audience.
